DARPA awards Modular Bionics up to $1.5M for clinical research product development

October 2018 - The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has awarded a contract worth up to $1.5M to Modular Bionics Inc. to advance development of the Clinical Link Interface for Neural Communication (C-LINC™), a wireless platform for laboratory research. DARPA’s Biological Technologies Office (BTO) awarded the contract.

Currently available clinical research wireless products are bulky and transmit limited neural recordings. The compact C-LINC system seeks to fulfill longstanding needs of neuroscientists by delivering a wireless data rate and channel count that aims to surpass currently available research products.
